Interesting musical events throughout history in April.

1. Aprl 1, 1974 - The Who sold out of all 80,000 seats in 60 hours for Madison Square Garden - a record of the time.
2. April 7, 1962 - Mick Jagger and Keith Richards met Brian Jones for the first time, at Ealing Jazz Club, Brian was calling himself Elmo Lewis & playing guitar with Paul Jones.
3. April 15, 1996 - The rest of Jerry Garcia's ashes were scattered near the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. A small portion had been scattered in the Ganges River in India 11 days earlier.

Interesting musical events throughout history in March.

1. March 1, 1995 - R.E.M. drummer Bill Berry has a brain aneurysm during a concert in Switzerland, and has to to leave the stage
2. March 8, 1941 - Willie Dixon was jailed for refusing induction into the armed forces. Military personnel escorted him from the stage of Chicago's Pink Poodle club. "I told them I was a conscientious objector and wasn't gonna fight for anybody," said Dixon.
3. March 18, 1994 - Three weeks before his suicide, four guns and 25 boxes of ammo were confiscated from Kurt Cobain (Nirvana) after his wife, Courtney Love, called police fearing he was going to commit suicide.
